This week was a little bit disappointing. When we got to the site only 4 of the students came and then 2 of them left early because they had appointments that they had to go to. We ended up just talking to them about that they look for in a college and what they hope to do in the future. It is unfortunate that many of the students just skip out for most of the weeks because EXPLORE! is something that could be very beneficial to them. We have started talking about field trips that are going to be available for the students. The first one is next weekend and it is a college visit. The students will be brought to Brown and RISD and they will be given tours so they can see what college campuses are like. Unfortunately JRW is next weekend so I will not be able to go but I am able to go to the field trip the weekend after. We will be going to the Providence College basketball game. I am really excited for this and so are all of the students. We do not have EXPLORE! next Friday but we do have a reflection where we are going to talk about how the program has been going so far.
